In response to the ever-growing demand for floating PV stations and to certify Astronergy products' firm strength in ocean scenarios, the pioneer in n-type TOPCon PV modules joined hands with TÜV Nord and China's National Center of Supervision and Inspection on Solar Photovoltaic Product Quality (CPVT) on May 25, to conduct an outdoor empirical test of the ocean floating PV generation platform.
As a fast-developing intelligent manufacturing enterprise, Astronergy is always eyeing market demands and making a quick response, the project is Astronergy's first time conducting an empirical test of a semi-submersible floating PV generation platform.
Said Haiyan Huang, EVP & CSO at Astronergy, the company has been exploring the technological development path of various PV utilization scenarios. This ocean-floating PV generation empirical project cooperation consists of a series of strict tests to provide safe, reliable, and efficient technical support and guarantee for the application of ASTRO N series PV modules in ocean floating PV use, added Huang.
The test will mainly focus on scientific research experiments. During a one-year test period, various data analysis will be conducted on the n-type TOPCon and p-type PERC double-glass 182-78 PV modules which were independently developed by Astronergy.
During the empirical test, a comprehensive experimental test and power generation process monitoring will be conducted to test various performances of PERC and n-type TOPCon modules.
At the same time, sophisticated environmental data within the empirical area will also be collected and analyzed in real-time to accumulate experience related to ocean floating PV generation from all perspectives, so as to provide accurate and reliable data support for the formal implementation and stable operation of Astronergy's ocean floating PV generation project.
